Under the Freedom of Information Law (“the FOI Law”), an applicant who is dissatisfied with a response is entitled to an internal review in certain circumstances.
Under section 33 of the FOI Law, an applicant may request an Internal Review of an authority's decision on an FOI request in the following instances:
An application for an internal review must be made within 30 calendar days from the date of receipt of the authority's decision.
An application for an internal review should be submitted in writing by post or e-mail to the Information Manager at the contacts below. The application for internal review should include your name, address, telephone number and the reference number of your FOI request and set out the reasons for seeking an internal review of the decision.
